Becoming a member of an Arts Councils has a two-fold advantage:
1. Arts Councils provide the opportunity for individuals in the arts to interact with each other as well as with the members of the community around them.
2, Arts Councils provide the opportunity for individuals in the community to interact with artists as well as with the members of the community in which they live, work, and play.
Why you should become a member of the DeSoto Arts Council
Your membership enriches DeSoto County by providing opportunities for everyone to participate in the arts and making many wonderful projects possible.
Not only does membership provide support for the arts and the artists who create that art, but it also provides the opportunity for citizens of Hernando and DeSoto County to meet people whom they might be unlikely to meet in other social situations. And make new and lasting friendships along the way.
DAC members can take art classes, send their children to art camp, attend monthly exhibits, purchase unique art creations, and get together with light food and drinks during our First Friday Back Porch Parties. And we always have music provided by the musical artists of our community.
