Volunteers are the heart and soul of the DeSoto Arts Council
Volunteering is something you can do that counts. When you give of your time, you give of the one thing that cannot be replaced and that’s what makes your gift valuable.
Without volunteers, the Desoto Arts Council could not survive, could not help artists remain artists, or encourage school children to learn to express themselves in ways that also truly count.
Won’t you please join us? Not only will your gift make a difference, but you will meet a whole new world of people and make a new family of friends.
And that’s something that really does count.
“Not everything that counts can be counted. And not everything that can be counted, counts.”
— Albert Einstein
ART CAN BE COUNTED ON TO BUILD PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL RELATIONSHIPS. LET’S BUILD SOMETHING.
We Need Your Help to Keep DAC Going!
Volunteers are needed on a regular, consistent basis, as well as for special events.
Keeping the Desoto Arts Council gallery open for visitors, guests, and shoppers wishing to purchase art and gifts requires an entire team of volunteers, people who like helping people and answering their questions.
We always need help
• In the gallery and the gift shop
• In yard and flower maintenance
• In set up-and tear-down for all events
• Hosting, helping, and performing at events, classes, and at our First Friday Back Porch Parties
• In community relations and marketing
If you are willing to help promote the arts in our community, please fill out the form below and indicate which area(s) interest you the most. Trust us, we have work for you to do that will be rewarding, fulfilling, and fun!
I wish to be a DAC volunteer
Dr. Eleanor Gill and Susan Martin are shift supervisors for our Gallery & Gifts Store. Substitutes and full-time volunteers always needed.
ART REFLECTS COMMUNITY VALUES, PROMOTES DIVERSITY OF CULTURE, AND CREATES A SENSE OF BELONGING.
